So, if I were a film student, my senior project would go something like this:

I left some out, and I have two more series I'm working on, ones of feet exclusively and ones with the people leaning against the headboard or wall. If you actually go through these and can think of a film I skipped leave a comment and let me know.

I loved these! They're so simple, but they say a lot about life, you know?

I think you need one from Breathless.

I never really thought about what a cinematic trope the bird's-eye-view over the bed cuddle shot is until now.

Hm, this has been recommended to me several times. I had better watch it.
Have you seen its 'companion' film, Daywatch? Is that any good?

both of them are absolutely wonderful! they were on io a couple of months ago, ha! maybe its still there. but if not, you should definitely watch both, being the first one is somewhat of a cliffhanger.

I considered this. After awhile I shelved it with the 'miscellaneous' depictions of people in bed, along with the shot where they're in bed on the beach and the one where they're lying on the frozen river (which is not a bed shot, but an overhead shot).
